Michael, Vito’s last child and the decorated WWII marine are also at the wedding. Michael doesn’t seem interested in being part of the family business. Vito is a strong man, and he’s nice to anyone who respects him, but he’s cruel to those who don’t give him. But when a strong and cunning adversary wants to sell drugs and needs Don’s influence in the same way, Vito refuses to do so. What follows is a clash between the old Vito values that are fading and new ways that could lead Michael to do something he was so reluctant to do a group war on against any other Mafia families that could break the Corleone family.
